Installation Instructions

1. Prepare Tools and Materials: Make sure you have the necessary tools and materials, such as new brake pads, wrenches, socket wrenches, a jack, jack stands, lubricant, bolts, nuts, washers, etc.

2. Safety Precautions: Ensure the truck is on a flat surface and engage the parking brake. Use a jack to lift the front of the truck, making sure it's securely supported on jack stands. Don't overlook safety locks, wheel chocks, and tire wedges.

3. Remove the Wheel: Remove the wheel of the truck that requires brake pad replacement. Use a wrench or pneumatic tool to remove the wheel bolts and carefully take the wheel off.

4. Access the Brake Pads: Once the wheel is removed, you will have access to the truck's brake pads, typically located inside the brake drum.

5. Remove the Old Brake Pads: Use the appropriate tools to disassemble the brake caliper and release the old brake pads. Truck brake pads are usually larger and heavier than those on regular cars, so more force and tools may be required.

6. Clean and Lubricate: Before installing the new brake pads, clean the brake caliper, brake drum, and brake pad support brackets to ensure there's no dirt or debris. Apply lubricant to necessary parts, such as the brake pad support brackets, to reduce wear.

7. Install the New Brake Pads: Install the new brake pads onto the brake pad support brackets, ensuring they are correctly aligned with the brake drum's surface. Typically, there is a sensor or warning device on the brake pads to ensure proper installation.

8. Secure the Brake Pads: Reattach the brake caliper onto the new brake pads and use bolts, nuts, and washers to secure them.
